All it takes is a little self-control on the part of the individual.Īs far as microtransactions go, I think AC Origins sets a really good standard on how they should work. In regards to Origins specifically, Heka Chests are bought with in-game currency rather than real currency, making the whole loot box=gambling argument moot.Īs far as micro-transactions go, they're entirely optional and if you don't agree with them, you can simply not take part. When game companies start selling boxes that can turn up empty, then we can talk about it being gambling. I've never seen the comparison to real world gambling as valid since you still do get content from said boxes, unlike real gambling where you often will walk away with nothing at all. Fact is, it's a free market, at least in America, and companies can make money in any legal way they choose. In all honesty, vast populations are already doing the last. Simply because to admit loot box addiction leads to the other digital addictions no one really wants to talk about even admit for the most part.īe aware and resist or keep your noses directed to your cell phones screens. In reality, certainly in the Western part of the world, ingame loot boxes will become standardized despite all the current mayhem. So, do you think this is caused by a little thing as addiction? I would say the "dopamine" addiction thru digital devises is the undertstatement of this decade! In fact, the revenues are exorbitant in loot boxes games. There is enough stuff to gain in-game so why do people want to buy more? Buy in such quantities that companies can't resist to add loot boxes. Whining about it on a forum isn't going to change anything. Regardless, vote with your wallets if you feel ripped off. "All major" won't mean everything when it comes down to legal jargon. I mean, if you still want to rant and rave about what you think Ubisoft owes you, take it to an attorney. We can go about this all day, but the fact of the matter is that it was changed, and not every equipment set is going to be free for season pass owners. Other stores do consider it to be a major credit card. The previous mentioned store example doesn't have a "minor" listing yet certain stores consider Discover to not be a major credit card. Logic would dictate that it was changed because it's confusing to use the word major. However, major, minor, it doesn't matter. Ubisoft, the one that used the word "major" doesn't seem to think so. You think that "all major" includes future content. You expect Ubisoft to honor what they say, yet what they said was confusing. I'm sorry mnemonic but I don't buy that for a second,The statement."seasons pass gives access to all major expansions and equipment packs" meaning future content,So you can't say the major packs are the horus pack the roman pack and desert cobra pack because they're already included with the seasons pass, and there wouldm't have been any need for anymore mentioning of equipment packs in the first place.Even if I were to believe that major means Ubisoft decides which equipment packs are major,I bought the seasons pass and I don't know about anyone else but I haven't received a single equipment pack major or otherwise since I got it other than those 3 packs,You can tap dance around the word major all you want saying only Ubisoft knows what it means, but neither you nor Ubisoft can deny that "seasons pass gives access to all major expansions and equipment packs"meant future content,so i'll asks you and Ubisoft once again, where are these major or.lol minor future equipment packs we're supposed to have access to because I sure didn't get any.Look if that's what you want to believe than fine whatever. But it doesn't mean we think Ubisoft owes us something for me it means I expect Ubisoft to honor what they say.plain and simple If.you don't get it after this, then just continue to feel like Ubi owes you something and stop buying their games. Store: "Unfortunately, we do not here at our store."ĭo you see the point? See how it's also confusing to the end user? That's why it was changed, to be more specific. Me: "Oh, but I consider Discover to be a major credit card." Store: "No, just Visa or.Mastercard, sorry." Store: "ALL MAJOR credit cards accepted at our store." It's only stating a fact that MAJOR is up to the person/group using it. We don't know what MAJOR means and anyone who says differently is stating a lie.Īgain, this isn't about defending Ubisoft. Opinions are fine with something to back them up.with. I'm saying that NO ONE except UBISOFT knows what MAJOR means. You guys keep thinking MAJOR is based on cost or price or whatever you think it is. Here it is, plain and simple, just for you.
